Madden 22 is out and features all of the best and brightest stars, none bigger than star quarterbacks. There has been a change in the leaderboards after a phenomenal season for Tom Brady and an inconsistent start for Patrick Mahomes. Players like Mac Jones have seen impressive boosts (from 71 to 77), while others have taken a dip, like Deshaun Watson (90 to 86). I’m not sure what EA expected from Watson this season or what he did to regress but I guess they are assuming he is getting rusty on the bench. Here are the Madden 22 quarterback rankings.

The list overall appears to be solid but there are some abnormalities. I find it hard to believe that Mathew Stafford and Derek Carr are the exact same overall (83). I certainly would have Stafford higher, in the 86 overall range. Baker Mayfield also has 95 throw power, tied with Stafford and one rating higher than Herbert. If Mayfield and Herbert had a throw-off, I would bet my life savings on Justin Herbert.

Who is the best quarterback in Madden 22?

The best quarterback in Madden 22 is Tom Brady, with a 98 overall rating. While the game’s rating is not indicative of the actual best quarterback in the NFL, it is still incredible that the highest-rated player is 44-years-old. If he starts to regress today (which he won’t), he could actually be a starting-caliber quarterback at 50-years-old.

When the game launched, Patrick Mahomes was a prestigious member of the 99 club and the top-ranking quarterback. However, Brady has been dominant and Mahomes has not looked quite as invincible as years past. As a result, Mahomes was demoted to a 97 overall.

Who is the fastest quarterback in Madden 22?

Lamar Jackson is the fastest quarterback in Madden 22 with 96 speed and 96 acceleration. The question itself is somewhat silly considering how obvious it is. If you were wondering, yes he can be used in a game-breaking way in Madden 22, with so much speed you won’t know what to do with it.

Who has the strongest arm in Madden 22?

Josh Allen has the strongest arm in Madden 22, with 99 throw power. Allen should be able to let 60+ yard bombs rip with relative ease. Patrick Mahomes came in second with 97 throw power. This result is not too surprising, though I would not definitively say Allen has a stronger arm in real life.

Colin Kaepernick in Madden 22:

The strangest part of this list has to be Colin Kaepernick’s rating in Madden 22. Regardless of your beliefs, it ruins the realism of franchise mode to see Kaepernick trotting out in Philadephia over Jalen Hurts, or in Miami over Tua Tagovailoa. I don’t mind Kaepernick being in the game but his 81 overall rating results in a young, potential franchise quarterback, that a team recently spent high draft capital on, to be put on the bench for a 34-year-old half-retired quarterback.

If they want to throw Kaepernick in the game, great, it adds more for the user to create his own experience. However, his rating is making other teams make decisions that aren’t happening in the real world.
