Craig Kimbrel Has Proven that He Can Get More than Three-Out Saves

The Red Sox just won their 9th game in a row to complete another sweep. Kimbrel was on the mound for the final out and came up big to record his 28th Save, the second most in the MLB trailing only Edwin Diaz (35) who has had 38 save opportunities. Kimbrel has converted 28 of 30 save opportunities this season. Kimbrel came into a bases loaded situation with a 4-1 Red Sox lead. There were two-outs when he entered. Craig came out like a loose cannon and walked Robertson Chirinos which cost the Sox a run. He settled down and struck out Joey Gallo to retire the side. Kimbrel went into the 9th on a mission and rolled through the Rangers to strike out the side.

He has now made four, four out saves and has accumulated 5.2 IP 10 Ks, 3 Walks, 3 Hits, and 0 Runs. This is big for the Red Sox postseason hopes. If Kimbrel can serve as even Andrew Miller lite than the Sox could even win a series. On a real note this team is buzzing, and I am genuinely excited to see this 2018 Red Sox team led by Just Dongs Martinez. World Series Back On
